Just after some opinions to help me decide what type of flooring to get. We currently have rustic oak laminate floor going from hall through to living room. It has been down less than a year and i hate it, it always looks dirty, the children(who refuse to ware slippers) have always got dirty feet. Now i do clean it i am constantly got a mop in my hand or i'm on my knees cleaning it. It also seems to creak a lot in certain places. Overall i hate it.
